The Beginning

My Grandfather was a professional baker. He owned and operated a bakery in Indianapolis, Indiana until he retired. I grew up with my Mom telling me stories of how she used to take her naps on the huge sacks of flour in the bakery. This always made me conjure up images of a flour streaked little girl, with a dusting of flour from head to toe. That's how I came up with my blog name:) I wish I had been able to learn the secrets and tricks of the trade from my Grandpa, but he passed away before I was old enough to learn. So I've had to learn the usual way, through trial and error, and this blog is where I share my successes (and sometimes failures too!) with you.
